Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Grooming
How much does dog grooming cost in Brisbane at Paddington Pups?
Dog grooming starts at $95 for a Petite Maintenance Groom (up to 10kg), $115 for a Petite Full Groom, and $145 for a Petite Style Groom.
Prices scale by weight across Small (10 to 15kg: $105 / $125 / $162), Medium (15 to 20kg: $120 / $140 / $185), Large (20 to 30kg: $144 / $187 / $264), and Extra Large (30kg+: $153+ / $208+ / $288+).
What is included in a Maintenance Groom vs a Full Groom vs a Style Groom?
Every groom includes a warm heated hydrobath, blow dry, paw pad trim, and nail clip.
A Maintenance Groom tidies the coat, face, feet, and hygiene areas between clips; a Full Groom adds a complete all-over body clip to one even length; and a Style Groom delivers a breed-specific cut or custom scissor restyle.
Can my dog attend doggy daycare on the same day as their grooming appointment?
Yes.
You can add our Stay & Play daycare option for $45 so your dog spends the rest of the day socialising in our four supervised indoor play zones before or after their groom.
How do you handle matted coats and double-coated breeds?
Our groomers use warm hydrobathing, conditioner treatments ($8 add-on), and high-velocity blow drying to lift dead undercoat from double-coated breeds.
If a coat is heavily matted, a Matting Fee from $35 applies so our groomers can safely remove mats without hurting your dog’s skin.
How long does a dog grooming appointment take, and do you offer express pick-up?
Standard grooming takes 3 to 4 hours depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, and behaviour, and we send an SMS text as soon as your dog is ready.
If you need an early finish, our Express Pick Up service costs $40 and guarantees completion by 11:00am when you drop off before 7:30am.
What vaccinations are required for dog grooming at Paddington Pups?
All dogs visiting our Milton centre require a current C5 vaccination certificate.
If your dog is staying for our $45 Stay & Play daycare option and is aged 6 months or older, they must also meet our desexing and temperament assessment policy.
How do I book a dog grooming appointment or standalone nail clip?
Click the Book Now button on this page to select your groom or grooming extras online for Monday to Friday appointments, or register first on our New Customer page if it is your dog’s first visit.
