You and your puppy will be guided through our puppy preschool classes by our expert dog trainer, who will be covering the following course curriculum:

 Week 1:

Why are Puppy Training Classes Important?

The first 4 – 14 weeks of a puppy’s life is referred to as their socialisation period. During this time, it is important that puppies are introduced to as many stimulating new things as possible, as the more situations you expose your puppy to that are unfamiliar, the better they will be able to manage the unfamiliar when they are older.

All puppies need to learn how to get on with other dogs and new people, and become as accustomed to as many new experiences as possible in a fun, safe environment. This will minimise fears and anxieties that may develop into behavioural and social problems later, such as hyperactivity, aggression, anti- social behaviours, stress and fear related behaviours.

Puppies who have positive experiences with a range of different sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, people and other animals prior to four months of age, grow into calm, well adjusted, easy to control adult dogs that will consistently follow instructions given to them by their owners – even in distracting situations.

Our fun, informative puppy training classes are designed to educate both the puppy and his or her owner, with the ultimate desired outcome being a well-behaved, sociable and socially accepted puppy.
